Big Buck Lodge - Lake Rabun

RUSTIC ELEGANCE - Big Buck Lodge over Lake Rabun is one of our most unique and historical properties - you'll fall in love with it. This 5 bedroom, 3 bath lodge was built in the 1920's, and is now restored with all the amenities of our day while capturing Lake Rabun life from a far simpler time. The main level includes the kitchen (completely renovated in 2008), a full bath and laundry room, a dining room, and a living room with an amazing handcrafted rock fireplace. The upstairs has five bedrooms (two with Queen Beds and the other three with Twin Beds), along with two full baths. Rock your troubles away on the large front porch while enjoying a beautiful mountain view of the lake below, or hike in the quiet woods surrounding the lodge. When you're ready to sit lakeside, swim or boat, just cross the street to gain access to a large boathouse deck* and a dock with slip to park your boat (check with your reservation agent for boat rental information).

Very private, yet close to town, this large lodge is ready to welcome your family. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, full washer and dryer, and a fireplace for warmth in the autumn and spring (the fireplace is the only heat in this historic lodge, so plan accordingly if visiting in the cooler months). You will find NO TV at Big Buck Lodge, but plenty of board games, cards and puzzles. Feel free to bring a TV/DVD or VCR with you. NO SMOKING is allowed inside.

*NOTE: The boathouse, deck and dock are connected to the owners' lakeside home. When the owners are in residence, the boathouse deck will not be available (to assure owner privacy), but you will still have full access to the lake, a slip to park your boat and your rental rate will be discounted by 15%. Please confirm boathouse deck availability with your reservation agent.
